Domes: Acrylic and Polycarbonate Acrylic and polycarbonate glazing material are a lightweight, impact resistant and economical alternative to glass. Acrylic is popular due to good clarity and the economical price. Polycarbonate has an impact strength 10 times greater than acrylic and is only slightly more expensive. Acrylic and polycarbonate domes are available in single and double dome configurations. Thermal performance is fair.

Structural Sheet Extruded Polycarbonate Structured sheet is the fastest growing alternative to glass. Virtually unbreakable, lightweight and with very good thermal performance, structural sheet will be the glazing of the future. Most designs use 25mm triple wall with UV protective coatings. A condensation control coating is also available for high humidity applications (greenhouse, pool enclosures, etc.). Thermal performance is very good.

Insulated Glass Unit Insulated glass units (IGU) are standard in the industry. IG units are usually tempered over laminated glass. IG units have superior clarity, and are available with a variety of coatings to enhance thermal performance as well as UV control. Thermal performance is high.

Glass Single Lite Single glazed glass units are popular in situations where the insulating properties of an insulated unit are not required, but the beauty and durability of glass is desired; such as open canopies and walkways. Note: available in laminated glass only.
